Homemade Treats

If you are using canned pet food, cut some into bite-sized pieces and bake in your microwave for approximately 2 1/2 to 3 minutes. For using a conventional oven, bake at 350 F for approximately 30 minutes or until the desired texture is achieved. This will change the texture and make an excellent treat for your pet, while still feeding the necessary diet.

If you are feeding the dry form, grind the kibbles into flour using a blender, and mix with enough water to form dough. Shape into a "cookie" and bake them on a cookie sheet in the oven for approximately 1/2 hour at 350 F, until crispy.

As you know, it is very important for your pet to stay strictly on the prescribed diet, and this will allow him or her to feel special and spoiled.

These homemade treats should not exceed 5% of your pets total daily intake.
