New Puppy Supply Checklist

So, your new puppy will be coming home with you in a matter of days. It's an exciting time, and it's easy to forget some of the essentials you'll need to make a happy pet a happy home. Here are some of the basic things you will need around the house.

Food and related items:

• Dry, semi-moist and/ or canned puppy food
• Small treats for training
• Water bowl
• Food bowl
• Mat (to protect counter or floor)

Outfitting:

• Collar or harness
• Identification tags
• Leash

Grooming Supplies:

• Brush
• Comb
• Nail Clippers
• Puppy Shampoo
• Toothbrush
• Ear Cleaner

Toys:

• Chew Toys
• Hard Rubber Ball
• Stuffed Toy

Furnishings:

• Crate
• X-pen (fold-up wire pen for barriers)
• Dog Bed
• Washable Blankets

Toiletries:

• Newspapers
• Scented training supplies

Cleaning supplies:

• White vinegar or commercial pet odour remover
• Lint roller (for your clothing and furniture)

Miscellaneous:

• Carrying crate
• Bitter spray or cream (to make household items unpalatable)
• First aid items
